When Avry was in college, she went on a trip to Bohol and fell in love with the island, the people and the culture. She was entering her last year of college and was concerned about her future — her moving to another country after graduation. At the last church she visited, Baclayon Church, she prayed that if she was lucky enough to find a partner in life, she promised to return to Bohol as thanks to all the blessings that God has given her and celebrate at the place where it all started.

“…I prayed for a good life, a fulfilling career, and safe passage when we migrate. I even asked the Lord that, if He so wishes, to someday find my partner in life and my forever after. In return, I promised to return to Bohol and pledge my love and loyalty to the man who I will spend my life with. As promised and in fulfillment of my life-long dream, I am here once again with my partner, bestfriend, and my heart.”

Last month, we flew to Singapore to shoot Mike and Jamie’s engagement session. We’ve been to Singapore a few times and we love how you can just walk a stretch and find interesting and colorful locations for photoshoots. Although our legs may not agree, we had a great time cruising the Lion City and would definitely be itching to go back as we’ve barely scratched Singapore’s beauty.

A lot of you, especially our M+K brides and grooms, know these two. Markku, who we met through Peyups.com, has been shooting with us since 2005. Hana, (who we met through Markku, of course), has been M+K’s Studio Manager since 2008 and has also been joining our wedding shoots since then. Together, they head our 2nd team.

They recently got married, yey! and now, it’s their turn to be on the other side of the lens.

Disclaimer: This set just contains photos I took. I only used the 50mm lens for the entire wedding and shot all these in black and white.

A little bit of trivia: H is the 8th letter of the alphabet, M is the 13th. 2012 when added together is 5, which the number of years that Hana & Markku have been together. And they’re celebrating their 5th anniversary on their wedding day.
