One of the things I look forward to during weddings is working with supplier friends. Work? What work? Exactly! We completely forget that we are working because we are having fun. Such is the case when we did this outdoor shoot for our friend Veluz’ RTW 2014 collection together with Ernest Pascual of Bespoke Manila, Madge Lejano and the Makeup Studio Team, Kaye Cunanan, Jo Claravall, Teddy Manuel, Jason Magbanua, Penk Ching and Cuenca Jewelry. I swear, we had to constantly keep ourselves in check, otherwise the shoot would have taken days to finish.
So we turned 10 years old today. Yey! We can still recall how nervous we were covering our first wedding (on our own!) way back in 2004. Armed with 2 DSLRs — our first, a Canon D60, and a borrowed camera body (couldn’t afford 2 bodies yet huhu :D), and 2 compact flash cards, a 256 MB and a 128 MB. And with that small amount of memory, we had to transfer photos to our laptop every now and then. Can’t imagine doing that now hehe.
Anyway, we wouldn’t make it this far without the support of our families and friends; them being the first members of our marketing team and our wonderful team of photographers, assistants and layout artists for helping us out during shoots and with album production. And of course, thanks to all our brides and grooms who have trusted us to document their special day, some who even brought us to other parts of the world. Shoutout also to our fellow suppliers, most of whom have become our friends through the years and our loyal blog readers, who, once in a while would drop us a note asking why we haven’t updated our blog. Here you go! ;D
Their wedding may be a year ago but I still remember how misty my eyes got when Chris looked at his lovely bride and said, “I am the direct result of 12 years of being loved by you.” All together now… *awwww*
Chris and Amanda are two of the kindest people we know. After the devastating earthquake in October, they organized Bohol Brigade, relief efforts for Boholanos. During their wedding, in lieu of gifts, they asked guests to donate to Bikes for the Philippines instead, an organization that provides bicycles to kids so they can go to school. What big hearts, huh?
Now it’s the suppliers’ turn to give the bride some love and care…
… to match this wonderful bridal gown.
They came up with this. Lovely, yes?
