Anvaya Cove Prenup

karl / Anvaya Cove, Bataan, beach / 9 Comments

With the temperature in the country climbing to record highs, everybody’s dreaming of spending time at the beach. Anvaya Cove in Morong, Bataan is just a perfect getaway. It’s secluded and less than an hour away from Subic. We shot Kevin and Anne’s engagement there and we’d like to share some photos.

Will + Kate (Boracay Island)

karl / Amanda Tirol, beach ceremony, Boracay, coral motif, Discovery Shores, teal / 7 Comments

Is it summer yet? I hope our blog readers in the Philippines have started getting their sun, sand and sea fix. If not, tune in to the M+K blog as we try to whet your appetite for the beach. First up is Will and Kate’s wedding. Will and Kate met in Boracay. They love the […]

Jasper + Karen (Santuario de San Antonio, Peninsula Manila)

karl / Bespoke Manila, Jimmy Choo, Makeup Studio Team, Peninsula Manila, pink and brown, Santuario de San Antonio, Threelogy, Veluz / 7 Comments

In hindsight, it would seem obvious that Jasper and Karen do make a perfect pair. Jasper has the habit of cracking jokes while Karen giggles at even the corniest ones. They met at our school org, the UP Zoological Society; Jasper was a graduating senior, finishing his thesis and in a relationship, while Karen was […]

Harley + Georgia (Sacred Heart Church, Shangri-La Mactan, Cebu)

karl / Cebu, Jun Escario, Marco Polo Hotel, Sacred Heart Church, Shangrila Mactan, unity coins / 14 Comments

Although both based in London, Harley and Georgia decided to tie the knot last December at Georgia’s hometown in Cebu. The day started with preps at the Marco Polo Hotel in Lahug which was nearer the Sacred Heart Church. Twenty years ago, my family temporarily moved to Lahug due to my father’s work. I still […]

Bindoy + Kathy (Madre de Dios, Tagaytay Midlands)

karl / Badang Rueda, coffee-themed, Madre de Dios, Tagaytay, Tagaytay Midlands, Threelogy, Veluz / 6 Comments

Basing on Kathy and Bindoy’s wedding, I guess their top 3 priorities in life would be God, each other and coffee. If they could’ve fit all of their guests in Starbucks Tagaytay, I bet they would have had their wedding reception there. But they did the next best thing though, by hiring event stylist Badang […]

Jim + Pam (Discovery Shores, Boracay)

karl / Amanda Tirol, beach ceremony, Boracay, Discovery Shores, Jason Magbanua / 2 Comments

In a few hours, we’ll be headed back to Boracay for another wedding. But before we leave, I’d like to share our first Boracay wedding for this year. It was a joy covering Pam and Jim’s beach wedding. Amanda Tirol (planner), Jason Magbanua (that video guy), Mimi and I were at a consensus that if […]

Ryan + Mia (Santuario de San Antonio, Blue Leaf)

karl / Blue Leaf Pavilion, Santuario de San Antonio, Veluz / 11 Comments

This photo pretty much summarizes Ryan and Mia’s wedding: a touch of elegance with a sprig of rock and roll. I mean, where else can you find a bride in a borloloy-ridden Veluz gown wearing red Chucks and dancing to The Jerks at the wedding reception? Mia strikes me as a jeans and shirt kinda […]

Will + Kate

karl / UP Diliman / 9 Comments

I was surprised just how effortless this engagement session was. With no warm-up period, we finished everything in an hour. Great light, plus a madly in love couple, equals awesome photographs. At first, Will was a bit apprehensive about wearing his football uniform but we loved how it turned out — somewhat GLEE-ish. Hehe.

Jay + Aileen (Mary the Queen, North Greenhills Clubhouse)

karl / 9 Comments

Aileen had been dreaming of her wedding since she was a little girl. Her recurring dream included walking down the aisle to a groom whose face she couldn’t make out. Until one night, it became clear that the groom waiting for her at the altar was Jay! At that time, Aileen and Jay were just […]
